Trump and Obama Campaign Across US Ahead of Midterms

President Donald Trump cast an early ballot in Florida while former President Barack Obama rallied Democratic supporters in Ohio to criticize the current administration.

President Donald Trump cast an early midterm election ballot Saturday at the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections office in Florida, stating he voted for all Republican candidates. Before departing for a campaign rally in Georgia, Trump defended a controversial advertisement by Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and confirmed his administration would legally challenge the certification of the U.S. Senate race in Alaska if Republican Senator Dan Sullivan loses. Regarding the conflict in Iran, Trump noted he might have to "finish it off" or reach a deal.

Simultaneously, former President Barack Obama campaigned for Democratic candidates Sherrod Brown and Amy Acton at a rally in Cleveland, Ohio. Obama described the Trump administration as a period of "chaos and cruelty and corruption and incompetence," specifically criticizing White House renovations and a trade war with Canada. He also condemned the same Ramaswamy attack ad defended by Trump and targeted Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's focus on troop testosterone levels.

Following the Ohio event, Obama planned to travel to Detroit, Michigan, to support Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed. Both leaders are intensifying their efforts ahead of the November 3 general election, with Trump urging supporters to use early and mail-in voting despite his previous criticisms of those methods.
