Security Tightens in Kaduna for Tinubu Campaign Launch
Security forces in Kaduna are guarding campaign materials and the Township Stadium ahead of President Bola Tinubu's 2027 presidential campaign flag-off on October 24.
Security personnel in Kaduna have deployed to protect campaign billboards and posters of Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the official flag-off of his 2027 presidential campaign on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the Kaduna State Traffic Law Enforcement Authority are guarding materials to prevent nighttime vandalism.
Heightened security measures include police patrols and plain-clothes operatives stationed along major roads and around the Kaduna Township Stadium. The stadium has been repainted and decorated with All Progressives Congress flags for the event, where President Tinubu is expected to be joined by governors from the seven North-West states.
Local Organising Committee chairperson Hadiza Balarabe confirmed that security arrangements involving state and federal professionals are in place. She stated that attendees will be screened before entry and noted, "I’m comfortable with what has been done so far; we have the holding area, the conveniences are ready, the pavilions are ready."
