Trump expressed frustration over being misled about deficits in air-defense interceptors and long-range guided missiles, specifically exhausted ATACMS reserves and depleted stocks of Patriot and Tomahawk missiles.

These supply gaps reportedly influenced the decision to suspend a planned massive strike against Iran. According to the reports, Hegseth defended his record and shifted blame to Deputy Defense Secretary Stephen Feinberg for failing to provide the White House with accurate updates on the stockpiles.
