Trump and Vance Campaign in Florida and Alaska for Midterms
Vice President JD Vance and President Donald Trump are touring red states to support Republican candidates in key midterm races in Florida and Alaska.
President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance are conducting a series of campaign stops in red states to support Republican candidates ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. The effort focuses on areas where the GOP perceives potential vulnerability in state and local races.
On October 1, Vice President Vance spoke at a rally in Lakeland, Florida, at the Lakeland Linder International Airport. The event was held to support Republican candidates, including Senator Ashley Moody and Byron Donalds.
Vance will continue the tour on October 5 with a visit to Fairbanks, Alaska, for a rally hosted by the Republican National Committee and the Trump 47 Committee. The Alaska visit targets two toss-up contests: the gubernatorial race and a competitive U.S. Senate race where Senator Dan Sullivan is facing Democrat Mary Peltola. President Trump has also announced he will visit Alaska 30 days before Election Day to campaign specifically for Sullivan.
