Donald Trump Issues Orders to Circumvent Supreme Court Rulings

President Donald Trump is implementing alternative policies to bypass several Supreme Court of the United States rulings. Following a court decision affirming birthright citizenship, Trump issued executive orders creating citizenship exceptions for children born to foreign lobbyists, foreign terrorists, alien enemies, or those who used tourist visas fraudulently to give birth in the U.S.

Trump also renewed efforts to remove Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook. To satisfy judicial requirements for due process, the administration provided Cook a 21-day notice to respond to unproven allegations of mortgage fraud. Additionally, the president imposed new tariffs on 60 economies under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974 after the court rejected a previous tariff regime.

White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis defended the moves, stating they are consistent with judicial holdings. However, legal experts suggest the administration is treating court opinions as technical documents to be circumvented rather than final rulings.
