Donald Trump Claims Iranian Nuclear Sites Were Drug Factories

President Donald Trump asserted that Iranian facilities targeted in Operation Midnight Hammer served as both nuclear sites and drug factories during an Oklahoma campaign rally.

President Donald Trump claimed during a campaign rally in Durant, Oklahoma, that Iranian facilities targeted during Operation Midnight Hammer in June 2025 served as both nuclear sites and drug factories. He stated that B-2 Spirit bombers flying from Missouri struck the targets, asserting that Iran was doing drugs at the facilities.

These remarks contradict the original account from the Pentagon, which identified the targets exclusively as the Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan nuclear facilities. This is the first time the president has characterized the targets as narcotics sites.

The claims come during an ongoing war with Iran that began in February 2026. Public sentiment regarding the conflict has declined, with a CNN/SSRS poll indicating a majority of Americans believe the United States is not winning the war and that the financial and human costs are not justified.
