Bernie Moreno Calls for Max Miller's Resignation Over Abuse Claims

U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno has called for the resignation of Representative Max Miller following a series of domestic abuse allegations and a public dispute over a custody exchange. Moreno accused Miller of holding his granddaughter's stuffed bunny hostage for 48 hours at a suburban Cleveland police station, describing the act as a sign of total and complete depravity.

Miller denied the claim, presenting messages to suggest the toy was returned within 14 hours. The conflict extends beyond the toy; Moreno's daughter and Miller's ex-wife, Emily Moreno, alleges that Miller caused physical injury to their daughter and once held a gun to her head. Senator Moreno stated that his daughter lives in constant fear of Miller.

Representative Miller vehemently denies all allegations of abuse and has sued Emily Moreno for defamation. To clear his name, Miller requested an investigation by the United States House Committee on Ethics into the claims, which include allegations of domestic violence and illegal drug use. While President Donald Trump has described Miller as a good person, several Republican senators have aligned with Moreno in calling for Miller's resignation.
