The president announced that the Ohio-based company will soon replace grass across 700 acres of parks in Washington, DC.
In June, Scotts Miracle-Gro provided $1 million to the National Park Service to restore the South Lawn. This restoration followed a June 14 UFC fight held for America 250 and the president's 80th birthday.
Ethics experts raised concerns regarding the public endorsement, citing a $500,000 donation the company made to a pro-Trump PAC in 2024. Critics argue that such arrangements erode public trust by suggesting government contractors are selected based on personal relationships rather than merit.
