Trump's Board of Peace Petitions Italy for Gaza Security Force
The Board of Peace requested that the Italian government provide police, firefighters, and carabinieri personnel to help establish a new security force for the Gaza Strip.
The Board of Peace, an organization established by President Donald Trump, has formally petitioned the Italian government to provide personnel to assist in building a new security force for the Gaza Strip. In letters sent last month to the government of Premier Giorgia Meloni, the board requested the deployment of advisers from Italy's police, firefighters, and the carabinieri corps.
The petition asks Italy to formally commit to the initiative and designate a specific point of contact for the operation. Additionally, the board requested that Italy nominate a senior carabinieri officer to serve as the board's deputy police program manager to oversee the development of the security infrastructure in Gaza.
