Emmanuel Bwacha Unveils Running Mate and Pledges Support for Tinubu

Emmanuel Bwacha, the People’s Democratic Party governorship candidate for Taraba State, unveiled Engineer Aminu Zakari as his running mate during an event in Jalingo. Bwacha stated that Zakari was selected based on competence, integrity, and a record of public service rather than political convenience or calculations.

During the announcement, Bwacha pledged to ensure President Bola Ahmed Tinubu wins a landslide victory in Taraba State during the 2027 general elections. He cited the president's economic reforms, infrastructure projects, and national security strategies—specifically intelligence partnerships with the United States—as the primary reasons for his support.

Bwacha used the occasion to criticize the current Taraba State administration for financial mismanagement. He alleged that the state's debt profile has risen exponentially despite increased federal allocations and challenged the government to identify any capital project valued at 10 billion Naira executed within the last three years. Additionally, Bwacha asserted that the PDP faction aligned with Nyesom Wike would remain vigilant to prevent rigging in the upcoming elections.
