Donald Trump Accuses Fox News of Promoting Democratic Candidates
President Donald Trump criticized Fox News for favoring Democratic and independent candidates over Republicans in key Senate midterm races.
Donald Trump accused Fox News of promoting Democratic and independent candidates over Republicans during a rally in Nebraska and via Truth Social. The president claimed the network provides softball interviews to opponents and fails to sufficiently cover his campaign rallies.
Trump specifically targeted the network's coverage of Abdul El-Sayed, a Democratic candidate leading in Michigan polls, and Dan Osborn, an independent challenging Senator Pete Ricketts in Nebraska. He argued that the network has lost its way by focusing more on non-Republican candidates than on those he describes as the people who have saved America.
These criticisms emerge as Democrats attempt to regain control of the Senate in the November 3 elections. Current polling indicates tight races in both Michigan and Nebraska.
