Republican Senate Majority Leader John Thune expects the GOP to preserve its majority, viewing the leftward shift of Democratic nominees as a political opportunity. Meanwhile, Democratic candidates remain financially dependent on the Senate Majority PAC, which is aligned with Schumer, to compete against Republican spending.
