Spencer Pratt Concedes Los Angeles Mayoral Race Amid Fraud Claims
Spencer Pratt finished third in the Los Angeles mayoral primary and vowed to expose city corruption after incumbent Karen Bass and Nithya Raman secured runoff spots.
Reality TV personality Spencer Pratt finished third in the Los Angeles mayoral primary, failing to advance to the November runoff. Despite holding a lead on election night, Pratt fell to third place as mail-in ballots were processed. Final tallies from the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk placed incumbent Mayor Karen Bass first with 34.3%, followed by Councilwoman Nithya Raman with 29%, and Pratt with 25.5%.
The result sparked widespread allegations of voter fraud from right-wing figures. President Donald Trump, who endorsed Pratt, claimed the election was rigged, while Congressman Abe Hamadeh called for the election to be federalized. First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli announced that his office is investigating potential fraudulent activity, including reports of forged signatures on Skid Row.
In a social media video released June 12, Pratt conceded the race but declared a "war" against Bass and Raman, whom he called "commie animals." Pratt claimed he possesses recordings that would force one of the candidates to resign in shame, asserting that he is no longer constrained by campaign laws. His campaign, which raised $3.75 million—80% of which came from outside the city—was originally launched after the 2025 Palisades fires destroyed his home. Bass and Raman are scheduled to face each other in the general election on November 3, 2026.
