Donald Trump Schedules Youngstown Rally to Support Ohio Republicans

President Donald Trump announced he will return to Youngstown, Ohio, on October 12 for a rally at the Covelli Centre. The event, scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. with Trump speaking at 6 p.m., aims to support Republican candidates in closely contested races for governor and U.S. senator. This marks Trump's third rally at the venue, where he previously supported JD Vance in 2022.

The announcement follows a weekend visit to the Dayton area, including a rally in Vandalia to boost the campaigns of U.S. Senator Jon Husted and gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. Husted is running against Democrat Sherrod Brown, while Ramaswamy is facing Democrat Amy Acton.

Local Republican officials, including Mahoning County Chairman Tom McCabe and U.S. Representatives Michael Rulli and Dave Joyce, stated that Trump's presence will energize the base and highlight achievements such as tax cuts. Conversely, Mahoning County Democratic Chairman Chris Anderson criticized the president, claiming Trump has failed to deliver on promises to the region and has contributed to foreign conflict and rising costs.
