Rahul Gandhi Accuses BJP of Electoral Malpractice in Goa

Rahul Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP of orchestrating vote theft and widespread corruption during a public meeting in Margao, Goa.

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of electoral malpractice and systemic corruption during a public meeting in Margao, Goa, on October 18. Speaking on the 25th day of the Goy Rakhonn Yatra, Gandhi alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar collaborated in "vote theft."

Gandhi characterized the Goa government as a "model of corruption," claiming that land is seized from the poor to benefit wealthy outsiders while the assets of the Chief Minister's family grow. He linked high unemployment rates in the state to a trend of youth migrating abroad.

On a national level, Gandhi criticized the central government for awarding major infrastructure contracts in defense, roads, and airports to industrialists Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani. He alleged these contracts were granted in exchange for political funding.
