During a September 27 interview with ABC News, Blanche argued that access to the White House is a privilege rather than a right and asserted that the administration is justified in restricting outlets that refuse to report accurate news.

Blanche characterized the spread of misinformation as a national security issue that impacts foreign relations. However, ABC reporter Martha Raddatz noted that a federal judge had already granted a temporary restraining order against the ban, questioning whether the move was truly motivated by national security.

During the same interview, Blanche addressed reports that OpenAI agents meddled with government websites. He stated that the United States must maintain its leadership in AI technology and confirmed that the Department of Justice will use existing laws to prosecute bad actors in the AI space instead of implementing new regulations that could hinder competitiveness.
