India Sends 10 Tonnes of Aid to Flood-Hit Nepal

The Government of India dispatched 10 tonnes of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) and essential medicines to Nepal to assist with the management of devastating floods. The relief materials, transported via an Indian Air Force C130J aircraft, include hygiene kits, solar lamps, blankets, and temporary shelters.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed condolences for the loss of lives and confirmed that India is ready to provide all possible humanitarian assistance. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar stated that India stands with Nepal in meeting the challenge, noting that the two nations are coordinating closely on rescue and relief operations.

Nepal Prime Minister Balendra Shah thanked Prime Minister Modi for the expression of solidarity and the offer of assistance. Shah described the gesture as a reflection of the enduring bonds of friendship between the two countries.
