Rahul Gandhi Demands Resignation of Chief Election Commissioner
Rahul Gandhi demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, alleging the government is stealing votes by removing poor citizens from electoral rolls.
Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar during a Jan Sunwai public hearing in Trilokpuri, New Delhi. Gandhi accused the Election Commission of India of failing to answer Opposition queries regarding the electoral process and alleged the government is engaging in vote theft.
Gandhi claimed that poor citizens are being removed from electoral rolls to deny them their rights. He characterized these actions as an attempt to create a country that serves a select group of billionaires while stripping ordinary citizens of their agency.
Gandhi stated that the Opposition will continue its campaign until Kumar resigns or Prime Minister Narendra Modi removes him from office.
