Iran Warns US of Retaliation While Proposing Peace Roadmap

The military of Iran warned the United States that all U.S. deployment centers and interests across the Middle East will be targeted if Washington attacks the country. Alongside this threat, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi proposed a seven-day roadmap to end the current war, stating that Tehran is prepared to implement the plan immediately upon U.S. agreement.

Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik, spokesman for the Iranian Defense Ministry, announced that the Iranian Armed Forces have moved strategic capabilities and weapons production assets into secure underground infrastructure to thwart enemy calculations. He asserted that while recent conflicts caused damage, opposing forces failed to undermine Iran's nuclear program, missile capabilities, or regional naval power.

Talaei-Nik referenced two previous conflicts involving the United States and Israel: a 12-day war in June 2025 and a 40-day war that began on February 28, 2026. He further noted that in July, Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz and launched strikes against American targets in West Asia after U.S. air raids and a naval blockade violated the June 17 Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
