Pakistan Interior Minister Visits Tehran to Mediate US-Iran Tensions

Pakistan Interior Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi arrived in Tehran on Tuesday for an official visit aimed at facilitating diplomatic dialogue between Iran and the United States. The mission focuses on reducing tensions surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global energy route, and addressing the status of Iran's nuclear program.

This trip marks Naqvi's sixth visit to Tehran since a conflict escalated on February 28. The Government of Pakistan has increasingly acted as a diplomatic intermediary, previously hosting negotiations between Washington and Tehran to prevent further regional instability.

Beyond the mediation efforts between the United States and Iran, Naqvi is scheduled to meet with senior Iranian officials to discuss bilateral relations and border management between the two neighboring countries.
