Jewish Support for Iran Campaign Drops in August Survey

The Jewish People Policy Institute reports a sharp decline in support for the military campaign against Iran among Jewish populations in the US, Canada, and UK.

The Jewish People Policy Institute reports a significant decline in support for the military campaign against Iran among Jewish populations in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. According to the August 2026 Voice of the Jewish People Index, only 33% of respondents in the US now view the campaign as successful, a sharp decrease from 66% in March.

The survey reveals a deep political divide regarding the operation. While 80% of strong conservatives and 73% of Trump voters view the campaign as a success, 89% of strong liberals and 84% of Harris voters consider it a failure. Despite the overall negative assessment of the outcome, 55% of connected US Jews believe the military action did not go far enough.

Leadership ratings for the campaign also declined. Only 26% of US respondents rated the leadership of Donald Trump as good, while 38% gave a positive rating to the leadership of Benjamin Netanyahu.
