Larry Krasner Vows to Blow Up White House Ballroom

Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner stated he intends to blow up the White House ballroom in an official ceremony once Democrats regain government control.

Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner stated on Tuesday that he and other Democrats intend to blow up the White House ballroom in an official ceremony once they regain control of the government. Speaking at an annual slavery commiseration event in Philadelphia, Krasner claimed he would keep a piece of the destroyed ballroom as a paperweight and suggested selling the remaining rubble to reimburse taxpayers.

The comments follow a legal defeat for the city regarding slavery exhibits at George Washington's historic home, which were modified under a presidential executive order. The ballroom project, a $600 million addition funded by taxpayer dollars and private donations, is designed to host large events with advanced security against drone strikes. While the National Trust for Historic Preservation has challenged the construction, the Supreme Court of the United States has allowed work to continue during its review.

Attorney General Todd Blanche condemned Krasner's remarks, while the White House defended the renovations as necessary to beautify the People's House. The United States Secret Service confirmed it investigates any perceived threats toward its protectees but did not comment on specific operational matters. President Donald Trump characterized the ballroom as a gift to the American people and described those opposing the project as disloyal to the country.
