Congress Leader Demands Education Minister's Resignation Over NEET Leaks
Maharashtra Congress President Harshwardhan Sapkal demanded Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resign following a paper leak scandal affecting 2.4 million students.
Maharashtra Congress President Harshwardhan Sapkal demanded the immediate resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday. The call follows a paper leak scandal involving the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) that affected approximately 2.4 million students. Sapkal accused the central government of apathy, noting that Ladakh activist Sonam Wangchuk has been on a hunger strike for 20 days to protest the leak.
Sapkal criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for failing to address the crisis in his 'Mann Ki Baat' broadcasts or meet with Wangchuk. He further noted that Rahul Gandhi has initiated a nationwide campaign titled 'Chhatron Ki Goonj' to secure Pradhan's resignation.
Beyond education issues, Sapkal targeted the BJP and RSS over alleged thefts at the Ayodhya Ram Temple. He challenged RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to attend a 'Ram Raksha' event organized by the Shiv Sena-UBT.
