Donald Trump criticized oil executives and U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro on Monday, specifically accusing Chevron Corp. of profiting excessively from his war against Iran while demanding cheaper gasoline for consumers.
The president is considering removing Pirro from her position after she admitted in court papers that delays in the Reflecting Pool renovation resulted from a botched Interior Department rehab rather than vandalism.
In other government developments, Attorney General nominee Todd Blanche secured the support necessary for confirmation by agreeing to permanently rescind a $1.8 billion anti-weaponization fund intended for Trump's political allies, a condition set by Senators John Cornyn and Thom Tillis.
