Rahul Gandhi Detained During Protest Demanding Modi's Resignation

Rahul Gandhi and Congress party president Mallikarjun Kharge led a sit-in protest near Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence in Delhi to demand the Prime Minister's resignation. The demonstration was triggered by police action against students protesting alleged NEET paper leaks. During the event, Delhi Police forcibly removed and detained Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav.

Government allies condemned the demonstration as a security risk. BJP MP Kangana Ranaut accused Gandhi of orchestrating a security breach by attempting to direct protesters toward the Prime Minister's home. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai characterized the action as a political stunt that violated security zones and democratic norms.

The government defended its response to the NEET controversy, maintaining that strict action has been taken against those responsible for the leaks.
