Trump Warns Gulf Nations of Potential Strikes on Iran
President Donald Trump is preparing a potential large-scale military campaign against Iranian nuclear sites and infrastructure following the U.S. midterm elections.
The United States has warned several Gulf Arab nations to prepare for a potential short, intense military campaign against Iran following the U.S. midterm elections. Donald Trump is reportedly leaning toward a large-scale attack targeting Iranian nuclear sites and infrastructure, though a final decision remains pending.
To prepare for the operation, the U.S. military is relocating a Patriot missile system from Texas to the region, moving troops from vulnerable bases, and restocking munitions. An additional aircraft carrier strike group and Marine expeditionary unit are scheduled to join approximately 20 warships already in the Middle East next month.
Israel has also prepared targets for a new attack, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pushing for strikes to degrade Iranian strength and topple the regime. In response, Iran has warned it would retaliate against any attack with strikes on civilian and economic targets across the region. While regional mediators are attempting to revive talks, the U.S. continues to insist on discussing Iran's nuclear program while Tehran maintains tough demands.
