Russia and Ukraine Launch Simultaneous Long-Range Infrastructure Strikes
Russia and Ukraine conducted coordinated long-range attacks on each other's fuel reserves, military logistics, and maritime assets on July 18, 2026.
The Government of Russia and the Government of Ukraine exchanged simultaneous long-range strikes on July 18, 2026, targeting critical energy infrastructure and military logistics. Russian forces executed precision-guided air strikes on fuel and lubricant storage tanks at Yuzhny Port and targeted military cargo ships in Chernomorsk, Odessa, and near Snake Island.
In response, Ukrainian forces launched a coordinated drone operation targeting Russian logistics centers in the Tambov and Moscow regions. These attacks included a strike on the Nafto-Service oil depot in Noginsk. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported that more than 370 drones were launched toward the capital region.
Ukrainian forces also struck Russian maritime assets near occupied Crimea, damaging several tankers and a Project 10410 Svetlyak-class patrol vessel. President Volodymyr Zelensky described these coordinated operations as "long-range sanctions" designed to degrade the Russian military's operational capabilities.
