George Santos Blasts Republicans After Democratic Congressional Sweep
Former Representative George Santos condemned the Republican Party as a disaster after Democrats won control of both chambers of Congress in Tuesday's elections.
Former Representative George Santos criticized the Republican Party following Tuesday election losses that resulted in Democrats winning control of both chambers of Congress. Santos described the outcome as a "f—ing disaster" and a "s—t show," claiming that Republicans "literally squandered their majority."
Santos attributed the losses to a lack of leadership from figures including Mike Johnson and John Thune. He highlighted specific GOP defeats, including the loss of Republican Ashley Hinson in Iowa and the defeat of Attorney General Ken Paxton in Texas, where Democrat James Talarico won a U.S. Senate seat. Other notable losses included Republican Ann Wagner in Missouri.
Warning fellow Republicans to "lawyer up" in anticipation of investigations into dereliction of duty, Santos remained supportive of Donald Trump. However, he withdrew his previous interest in serving as the president's press secretary.
