Russian Strikes Hit Ukrainian Warehouse and Railway Near Poland

The Russian Armed Forces carried out a series of strikes across Ukraine on September 13 and 14, 2026, targeting both logistics hubs and transport infrastructure. On Monday, a strike on an agricultural business warehouse in Pryluky, located in the Chernigiv region, killed three people and wounded seven others. This attack is part of a campaign since June targeting distribution centers and warehouses that supply major retailers, leading to store shortages and price concerns.

On Sunday, Russian forces struck a railway locomotive approximately two kilometers from the Polish border. The attack narrowly missed a diplomatic train carrying senior Western officials, including Boris Johnson and David Petraeus. The Government of Russia defended the operation, with spokesman Dmitry Peskov stating the military would continue fulfilling tasks across the whole territory of Ukraine.

Poland described the railway strike as an escalation, with Prime Minister Donald Tusk stating that Warsaw had prior intelligence regarding Russian plans to disrupt Ukrainian border crossings. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and the European Union condemned the actions, characterizing the strikes as desperate attempts to intimidate Western nations and undermine international support for Kyiv.
