Ukraine Drones Strike Russian Oil Refineries and Wildberries Hubs

Ukraine launched a wave of drone strikes across Russia on July 30, 2026, targeting critical industrial and e-commerce infrastructure. The attacks hit the Ryazan Oil Refinery, a major Rosneft facility, as well as an oil refinery in Perm and the port of Taganrog, where one woman was killed. In Ryazan, strikes on the refinery and a Wildberries logistics warehouse injured six people.

Volodymyr Zelensky and the Ukrainian government specifically targeted Wildberries, Russia's largest online marketplace, alleging the company provides the Russian military with navigation equipment and drone components. This is part of a broader campaign that has hit at least nine Wildberries facilities in two weeks, destroying approximately 10% of the company's storage capacity and disrupting tens of thousands of small businesses.

In response, the Federal Government of Russia is considering subsidies, tax relief, and loans from state-controlled VTB Bank to support Wildberries. CEO Tatyana Kim has liaised with authorities regarding tax concessions to compensate affected sellers. These events occurred as Zelensky met with Donald Trump in the United States and the U.S. Senate voted for sweeping sanctions against the Russian regime.
