Donald Trump Calls for Execution of Classified Information Leakers

President Donald Trump called for the execution of individuals who leak classified military information during a campaign rally in Bullhead City, Arizona. He described leakers as "the scum of the earth" and argued that severe penalties are necessary to protect national security.

Trump cited a June 2025 operation, Operation Midnight Hammer, claiming a media leak regarding bomber departure times forced him to temporarily postpone strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. During the rally, he also boasted about the effectiveness of U.S. military operations against Iran, asserting that the U.S. has eliminated multiple levels of Iranian leadership and destroyed its radar and anti-aircraft capabilities.

Additionally, Trump claimed the U.S. Navy's "Wall of Steel" blockade has secured the Strait of Hormuz, which he stated will eventually lower gasoline prices. These remarks follow Trump's recent authorization of a firing-squad execution for Nidal Hasan, a former Army officer, which Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth proposed to livestream on December 3.
