Zelenskyy Calls for Trilateral Talks With US and Russia
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced Ukraine is ready for trilateral negotiations with the United States and Russia to resolve the ongoing crisis.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine is ready for trilateral negotiations with the United States and Russia and is willing to meet in any location. He noted that current tensions in the Middle East might limit the ability of the United States to host meetings, while Russia would likely refuse to meet on American soil.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Moscow remains in contact with Washington and expects talks to resume when circumstances permit. However, Peskov stated that no progress has been made on key territorial issues.
The proposal follows three prior rounds of trilateral discussions. Two rounds took place in Abu Dhabi in January and February, followed by a third round in Geneva in mid-February.
