Russia Strikes American-Owned Coca-Cola Plant in Ukraine

Russian forces launched a series of strikes across Ukraine on September 4, 2026, targeting industrial, logistics, and energy infrastructure. A primary attack involved Shahed drones striking a Coca-Cola production plant in Brovary, near Kyiv. Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, characterized the hit on the American-owned facility as a "clear Russian signal to America," arguing that Russia is fully aware the plant is an American enterprise.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine confirmed that no staff members were injured in the Brovary attack. Other Russian operations included strikes on the Eco-Avtotekhniks logistics center in the Kiev region, as well as maritime and energy targets in Yuzhny and Chernomorsk. In Dnipro, a Banderol missile drone attack on a Nova Poshta depot killed one employee.

Ukraine responded with its own drone operations, targeting the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant in Russia and striking the Russian vessel Nefrit in Sochi. The attack on the Coca-Cola plant occurred during the eighth consecutive day of Russian strikes in the Kyiv region, which have injured at least 13 people in total.
