Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Back Gaza Peace Plan Progress

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia welcomed progress in the disarmament process under the Gaza Peace Plan, characterizing the developments as a significant milestone for regional stability. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Saudi Foreign Ministry credited the mediation efforts of the United States, Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, specifically highlighting the leadership of the Peace Board and U.S. President Donald Trump.

Pakistan maintains that the Palestinian people have an "undeniable right to self-determination" and advocates for an independent, sovereign Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry identified three essential components for the success of a two-state solution: the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid, and the return of the Palestinian Authority to the territory.
