Hamas Delegation Meets Iranian Officials in Tehran
Hamas Chairman Mohammad Darwish led a delegation to Tehran to attend Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's funeral and hold diplomatic talks with Iranian leadership.
A senior delegation from Hamas, led by Chairman Mohammad Darwish, traveled to Tehran to attend the funeral of Iran's late Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. During the visit, Darwish and his delegation held meetings with Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.
The discussions focused on the political and military situation in the Gaza Strip, including the humanitarian crisis and ongoing Israeli military operations. The officials also addressed settler violence in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and coordinating responses to regional developments.
Additionally, the talks addressed diplomatic efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza, increase the flow of humanitarian aid, and support the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
