Zelenskyy Urges Patriot Missiles After Russian Strikes Kill Dozens

Russian forces conducted a series of coordinated missile and drone barrages against Ukraine, killing at least 10 people across Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia. In Kyiv, strikes targeted military-industrial facilities and logistics hubs, including the Radioizmeritel plant and the Vishnevoye hub. In Zaporizhzhia, eight glide bombs struck residential areas, killing a 71-year-old woman and wounding 31 others.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned of a critical shortage of Patriot interceptors, noting that only one ballistic missile was intercepted during the Kyiv attacks because missiles are lacking. He urged international partners to release stockpiles to protect civilians. In response, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that a license for Ukraine to produce Patriot missiles is still under discussion, though he expressed caution regarding the transfer of such technology.

Simultaneously, Ukraine launched extensive aerial campaigns across Russia, utilizing heavy-lift drones to airdrop ground robots and anti-tank mines. Ukrainian strikes targeted military sites in Crimea, a university in Belgorod, and an oil refinery in Saratov. Ukraine also conducted its 18th attack on Wildberries warehouses, specifically hitting a site in the Vladimir region.

In the Krasnodar region, a Ukrainian drone struck a crowded beach in the resort village of Arkhipo-Osipovka, killing three people and wounding between 13 and 40 others. Russian officials characterized the strike as an attack on civilian infrastructure. Russia reported intercepting 635 Ukrainian drones over Crimea and the Black and Azov seas.
