In the first, the Chinese president congratulated Indonesia on the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Indonesia, praising the nation's progress toward its Golden Indonesia 2045 vision and its role as a founding member of the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization.
Xi expressed a commitment to deepening cooperation and strategic mutual trust to increase the regional and global influence of both nations. Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Foreign Minister Wang Yi also extended their congratulations for the national anniversary.
In a second message sent the same day, Xi offered condolences to President Prabowo following a strong earthquake in Indonesia. He expressed sympathies on behalf of the Chinese government and people for the bereaved families and those injured in the disaster. Xi noted that the earthquake caused serious casualties and property losses, stating his confidence that the Indonesian people would rebuild their homeland under the leadership of President Prabowo.
