Netanyahu Meets Trump and Vance to Discuss Iran and Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a series of high-level meetings in Washington on Tuesday to address months of diplomatic tension with the United States. At Blair House, Netanyahu and Vice President JD Vance engaged in a direct dialogue to resolve friction regarding a failed US-Iran memorandum of understanding. The meeting followed public criticisms from Vance, who had warned Israeli officials not to alienate their only powerful ally.

Netanyahu dismissed allegations that factions within his cabinet were manipulating American public perception to derail negotiations, asserting that he alone dictates government policy. While some reports described the encounter as a confrontation, US officials characterized the conversation as cordial and candid. Both leaders agreed to maintain a functional working partnership on Middle East strategic goals.

Separately, Netanyahu met with President Donald Trump to evaluate options for curbing Iran's nuclear program, including economic pressure, a negotiated deal, or a massive strike. During the visit, Trump announced a historic agreement for the complete disarmament of Hamas in Gaza. While Hamas confirmed the deal, Israel has not yet issued a public comment on the agreement.
