Israel Reveals US Used Local Bases for Iran Strikes
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz disclosed that US warplanes used Israeli airbases to strike Iran following a collapsed ceasefire.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced Tuesday that United States warplanes and refueling aircraft utilized Israeli airbases to conduct airstrikes against Iran in recent weeks. These operations followed 13 nights of US strikes on the Islamic Republic after a previous ceasefire collapsed.
While the US and Iran paused attacks on Friday, Katz reported that Iran has targeted Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait, while avoiding direct attacks on Israel. He warned that Israel is prepared to respond with full force if targeted by Tehran.
Katz further disclosed that Israel intends to strike Iranian energy targets, although the United States currently opposes such action. Separately, US President Donald Trump expressed optimism regarding a negotiated peace deal with Iran as the two nations maintain the current ceasefire.
