Attorney General Todd Blanche Vows Continued Election Integrity Probes

Attorney General Todd Blanche announced Tuesday that the Justice Department will continue pursuing election-integrity initiatives and criminal investigations into unlawful voting. Speaking during a White House Rose Garden briefing, Blanche stated the administration would comply with a recent Supreme Court ruling affecting the Trump administration's mail-in ballot policy but remains committed to ensuring free and fair elections.

Blanche reported that the Justice Department and Department of Homeland Security recently charged 11 people for fraudulent registration or illegal voting. He further detailed broader enforcement actions, including 4,260 arrests related to terrorist threats since Donald Trump returned to office and a reduction in violent crime during 2025. Regarding emerging technology, Blanche clarified that the Justice Department will prosecute criminal conduct involving artificial intelligence but will not act as a regulator for the technology.

The briefing took place as the White House continues to search for a new press secretary to replace Karoline Leavitt. President Donald Trump suggested that other senior officials may rotate as briefers while the search for a permanent replacement continues.
