US Central Command Completes 11th Night of Strikes Against Iran

The United States Central Command completed its 11th consecutive night of airstrikes against Iranian military operations centers, aircraft hangars, drone storage, and logistics infrastructure on July 21. The campaign follows the deaths of three U.S. service members—Sgt. Angel S. Rampersad, Pfc. Isabella Gonzales, and 1st Lt. Tyler Feehan—during attacks in Jordan. US officials state the strikes aim to degrade Iranian capabilities used to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, where Iran has reportedly attacked more than 30 vessels in three months.

In response, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targeted U.S. assets in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan, claiming to have destroyed Amazon's central data infrastructure in Bahrain. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian declared a full-scale war, while the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters warned that any U.S. strike on nuclear facilities would trigger decisive strikes against all U.S. and allied assets. This follows a vow by President Donald Trump to hit any Iranian nuclear sites being reconstituted, coinciding with intelligence reports that Iran moved uranium centrifuges to a facility in Pickaxe Mountain.

Despite the escalation, diplomatic channels remain open. Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni visited Pakistan for talks, and mediators from Qatar and Egypt have proposed a 10-day truce. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio indicated openness to substantive negotiations, though Donald Trump maintained that Iran would pay heavily for U.S. troop fatalities.
