These comments follow statements from President Vladimir Putin, who noted that Ukraine launched a massive attack on Moscow during the State Duma elections and a drone attack on St. Petersburg in June. While Putin indicated that proposals to settle the conflict remain on the table and that Russia was prepared to resume negotiations after the elections, he emphasized that any decisions regarding talks will be based on Russia's own interests.
