House Committee Releases Bondi Testimony on Epstein Files

Former Attorney General Pam Bondi testified that Todd Blanche managed the release of Jeffrey Epstein files while denying personal involvement in Ghislaine Maxwell's prison transfer.

The House Oversight Committee released interview transcripts on Thursday from former Attorney General Pam Bondi and former prison guard Tova Noel as part of an investigation into the Department of Justice's handling of Jeffrey Epstein's files. The inquiry follows bipartisan criticism that the Justice Department withheld documents and accidentally disclosed the identities of Epstein's victims during the redaction process.

Bondi testified that former Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche was responsible for overseeing the entire release and redaction process of the files. While she asserted that all relevant documents have been released, she categorized the remaining 3 million unpublished pages as duplicates or privileged materials. She directed further inquiries regarding those documents to FBI Director Kash Patel.

During the testimony, Bondi distanced herself from the decision to transfer Ghislaine Maxwell to a minimum-security prison in Texas, attributing that choice to the Bureau of Prisons. She characterized Maxwell as a monster who should die in prison but refused to disclose conversations with President Donald Trump, citing privilege. Donald Trump has since indicated he will formally nominate Blanche to serve as Attorney General. Additionally, Tova Noel, among the last to see Epstein alive, denied conspiring to cause his death.
