Broadcom Forecasts AI Revenue Surge as Trump Eases Iran Tensions

Broadcom Inc. predicts AI chip revenue will reach $230 billion by 2028 while gold prices stabilize following Donald Trump's comments on Iran.

Gold prices stabilized around $4,385 an ounce after Donald Trump indicated that recent military attacks on Iran would likely be short-lived. The statement reduced investor fears that a prolonged Middle East conflict would drive up energy prices and accelerate inflation.

Economic indicators further calmed markets as John Williams, President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, reported that inflation continues to ease as the impact of tariffs fades. This assessment tempered expectations for an interest-rate hike, despite a previous hawkish speech delivered by Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh.

In the technology sector, Broadcom Inc. issued aggressive growth forecasts for its artificial intelligence chip business. CEO Hock Tan predicted revenue will reach $115 billion in fiscal 2027 and $230 billion in fiscal 2028. Tan attributed this growth to increasing demand for custom chips from major clients, including Google, OpenAI, Meta Platforms Inc., and Anthropic PBC, positioning the company as a primary alternative to Nvidia Corp.
