Nigel Farage Seeks to Recruit Tom Homan for UK Borders
Reform UK leader Nigel Farage expressed desire to bring US immigration adviser Tom Homan to the United Kingdom to implement stricter border security measures.
Nigel Farage, leader of Reform UK, stated during an event in the United States that he wants to hijack Tom Homan to help secure the borders of the United Kingdom. Farage praised the uncompromising approach to deportations employed by Homan, who serves as an adviser on US Immigration and Customs Enforcement and previously designed the zero tolerance family separation policy during the first term of Donald Trump.
While Farage urged Europe to adopt a more sensible view of the Trump administration, he explicitly disagreed with the US president's support for a united Ireland. Farage asserted that Northern Ireland remains a proud and integral part of the United Kingdom.
These comments come as relations between the White House and Downing Street face strain over policies regarding Iran and Israel. The remarks coincide with a scheduled meeting in New York between Donald Trump and UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham.
