China and US Agree to Strategic Stability After State Visit
China expressed readiness to implement agreements on strategic stability and mutual support reached between President Xi Jinping and President Donald Trump during a recent state visit.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China announced that China is ready to collaborate with the United States to implement common understandings reached during President Xi Jinping's state visit to the U.S. from September 23 to 25, 2026.
Spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated that President Xi and President Donald Trump agreed to establish a constructive relationship of strategic stability based on reciprocity, fairness, and respect. The two leaders focused their discussions on bilateral relations and world peace.
As part of the agreement, the two nations will provide mutual support for upcoming international summits. China is preparing to host the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in November 2026, while the United States will host the G20 Leaders' Summit in December 2026.
