United States and India Establish AI Opportunity Partnership

The United States and India created the US-India AI Opportunity Partnership to align regulatory systems and strengthen the physical semiconductor and energy infrastructure stack.

The Government of the United States and the Government of India have established the US-India AI Opportunity Partnership, a bilateral addendum to the Pax Silica Declaration. The agreement rejects a paralysis of fear in favor of a pro-growth, pro-entrepreneurship model intended to ensure the two nations maintain global technological leadership.

Under the partnership, the two governments will align regulatory systems to empower startups and creators while strengthening the Physical AI Stack. This cooperation specifically targets semiconductor manufacturing, energy infrastructure, and critical minerals. To drive private-sector innovation, the initiative facilitates cross-border venture capital flows, joint research and development partnerships, and investments in next-generation data centers.

This initiative aligns with the Transforming the Relationship Utilizing Strategic Technologies vision shared by President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It further links to the US-India Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership and the India-US COMPACT.
