President Xi Jinping to Visit United States in September

President Xi Jinping is scheduled to visit the United States on September 24 following an invitation from President Donald Trump.

Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to make a state visit to the United States on September 24. The trip follows an invitation extended by President Donald Trump during an official visit to China from May 13 to 15. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that the visit remains on track, noting that Chinese government delegations are currently in Washington coordinating the arrangements.

The diplomatic effort continues despite recent tensions. President Trump recently accused China of interfering in U.S. elections during a prime-time address. While the Chinese government dismissed these allegations as "completely groundless," officials from both nations have maintained communication regarding the summit.

Chinese officials may hold further discussions as early as Tuesday at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations foreign ministers' meeting in Manila. Spokesman Lin Jian emphasized that head-of-state diplomacy provides "irreplaceable strategic guidance" for the bilateral relationship.
