Trump Predicts End to Iran Conflict Amid Hormuz Tensions

President Donald Trump stated on Thursday that the conflict with Iran is likely to end soon, asserting that Tehran cannot sustain the fight much longer. This assessment comes as Iran and Oman unveil a finalized management scheme for the Strait of Hormuz that reportedly bans all United States and Israeli vessels from the critical energy transit waterway.

While Trump described the waterway as sort of open, he acknowledged that Iran could easily deploy mines, drones, or close-range missiles in the area. Domestically, Trump dismissed media reports claiming the Pentagon is facing a shortage of missiles and interceptors, calling such reporting treasonous.

Iran remains defiant in the face of these assertions. President Masoud Pezeshkian claimed that external pressures on the country have reached their maximum and have failed to cause a collapse. Iranian forces recently conducted strikes against hostile targets on Qeshm island, located near the entrance of the strait. Meanwhile, Speaker of the Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf criticized U.S. diplomatic efforts, characterizing the strategy as theater diplomacy based on bullying and broken promises.
