Nvidia Projects 70% Growth as CEO Joins White House Summit
Nvidia expects chip sales to double by 2027 and projects 70% revenue growth for fiscal 2028 while maintaining a $5.5 trillion valuation.
Nvidia Inc. has reached a market capitalization of approximately $5.5 trillion, cementing its position as the most valuable publicly traded company in the United States. The company projects a revenue growth rate of 70% for fiscal 2028, significantly outpacing analyst expectations of 44%, and expects chip sales to double in 2027 due to global demand for artificial intelligence.
Financial performance remains strong with profit margins exceeding 60% over the trailing 12 months. Revenue grew by 106% in the fiscal second quarter, with guidance set at $108 billion for the current quarter. While the stock rose 19% in 2026, it has lagged behind some smaller AI and memory stocks, though analysts have raised earnings per share projections, lowering the forward price-to-earnings multiple to approximately 14 times next year's projected earnings.
CEO Jensen Huang is scheduled to attend a state dinner at the White House this week with President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping. The meeting aims to address high-stakes issues, including U.S. trade restrictions on data center chip shipments to China, which remained in place following previous discussions in Beijing.
